Meeting between Sergey Dankvert, Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, and Norbert Konkoy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Russian Federation, was held in Moscow on February 16, 2022. The parties discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation in agricultural product supplies. At the meeting, it was noted that Hungarian Competent Authority forwarded to the Rosselkhoznadzor lists of the establishments interested in export of the regulated commodities, including feedstuffs for animals, to Russia. The Rosselkhoznadzor is currently analyzing the list including 50 Hungarian companies. Sergey Dankvert has informed that the Russian party is ready to organize audit of the said establishments for their compliance with the EAEU requirements in spring. Therewith, the Rosselkhoznadzor intends to carry out technical consultations with Hungarian colleagues for clarification of current Russian Federation and Eurasian Economic Union legislation requirements. In addition, Sergey Dankvert and Norbert Konkoy discussed supplies of hatching eggs to Russia. The Rosselkhoznadzor Head stated that the Rosselkhoznadzor took measures due to aggravation of avian influenza epidemic situation in some countries. Such measures included temporary restrictions on import of live poultry and poultry products from certain disease-infected administrative territories. However, the Rosselkhoznadzor will considered the possibility of resumption of export from the establishments providing that competent authorities are able to provide exhaustive evidence that these establishments are free from the disease and are located at a sufficient distance from the disease outbreaks. Norbert Konkoi will convey this information to the Hungarian Competent Authority, which is interested in obtaining a permit for a number of the establishments for hatching egg export to Russia. The parties thanked each other for cooperation and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation in the fields discussed during the meeting. |
